4-H Building Information & Ground Upgrades

June 6, 2019 -The board has been meeting with Arete Designs and we have been working on some designs concepts! I am getting excited!

So some questions we get asked are:
Are you building a separate building? No, we are revamping and adding on to the 4-H building.
When will construction begin? Ground breaking at this point and time is set for the middle of August. We don't want to start until after fair.
Will the 4-H building still be able to be used during construction? The plan is to keep as much of it open as possible and for as long as possible. We encourage people to go ahead and book dates but also realize that things can change and we can not guarantee. We are going to try our best to have the least amount of shut down as possible.
I will be announcing a public viewing of the drawings soon! Please if you have any questions please contact anyone on the fair board!

March 21, 2019 - Things are getting exciting at the fair grounds! The Exhibit Hall has had some up dating and is looking great! Work has begun on the airport which means Carriage Lane has moved north of where it was. This will mean the beef tie outs will be moved as well! The fair schedule is set for the 2019 fair. The theme is An Old Fashioned Fair.

The Fair Board has been busy the last few months in preparation for the exciting changes that will be happening to the 4-H building. In December it was decided to hire a project manager to help with all of the ins and outs of such a huge project. We have been working with Greg Orr from https://relianceconstructionconsulting. com. After two days of interviews we hired a design firm https://www.aretedesign.group out of Sheridan Wyoming. They will help us design a functional and appealing building that fits the needs of Platte County. Please feel free to contact any board members if you have any questions!

As you can see lots of excitement is happening at the fair grounds!
